My journey of faith and calling

Discover the path that led me to missions, shaped by obedience, meaningful experiences, and a faith refined through joy and hardship. This is my story.

The beginnings of a calling

My journey into missions and faith began with a deep sense of calling from a young age, even before I fully understood what it meant. In 2021, I took my first trip to Kenya, which opened my eyes to serving God in a global context and stirred something deeper in my heart. I returned again in 2022, where that calling became clearer and more personal, and then again in 2024, each trip building on the last and shaping my heart for missions. Alongside these experiences, seasons of grief and uncertainty have refined my faith and deepened my dependence on God. Today, these moments together have led me to a continued yes to missions and a life committed to following where he leads.

From Kenya to Colorado: a path of preparation

My experiences in Kenya, Japan, and New Zealand have each played a significant role in shaping and preparing me for what I am doing now in Colorado Springs. In Kenya, I first stepped into cross-cultural missions and learned what it looks like to serve with humility, flexibility, and a willingness to meet practical and spiritual needs. Returning multiple times deepened my understanding of consistency in calling and how God grows a heart for people over time. In Japan, I experienced a very different culture, which stretched my ability to connect with people in quieter, more relational ways and taught me to value presence over performance. My time in New Zealand further prepared me by strengthening my faith, refining my character, and giving me space to be trained and stretched in leadership and obedience. Each place revealed different aspects of missions, from bold outreach to patient discipleship and personal surrender. Now in Colorado Springs, I see how all of those experiences have been vital.

A genuine calling, a grounded faith

After reading my story, I want you to feel that my life is rooted in a real, growing calling to follow God into missions, shaped by consistent obedience, meaningful experiences in Kenya, and a faith that has been refined—not idealized—through both joy and hardship. You should feel that I am genuine, grounded, and clearly called—not someone chasing an idea of missions, but someone who has been steadily formed and led into it over time. My commitment is to follow where God leads, and I invite you to be a part of this journey.
